Cur Dogs exists to give athletes more opportunities to play true box lacrosse in USBOXLA sanctioned events.

Cur Dogs Box Lacrosse was built for driven athletes who don’t have access to a box travel program — but want to train like they do. By joining Cur Dogs, players gain access to elite coaching, high-level competition, and a structured online curriculum designed to rapidly develop their skills and lacrosse IQ.This is more than just a team — it’s a community for motivated athletes who want to play smarter, harder, and compete at the highest level.

Coach Elliott Bender brings 17+ years of experience coaching lacrosse at the youth, high school, college, and professional levels. A former pro player who also competed in Senior A up in Canada, Elliott was an inaugural coach with Team USBOXLA helping lead the growth of box lacrosse nationwide.Known online as @theboxlacrosseguy, Elliott has coached multiple state championships, undefeated seasons, and developed more than 150 athletes who have gone on to play in college. His coaching background also includes women’s college lacrosse with Cali Lax, giving him a rare ability to train both boys and girls at a high level.As National Director, Elliott’s vision is clear: build fundamentally sound players, develop leaders, and create opportunities. Families can trust that their athletes will be challenged, supported, and prepared to succeed in high school, college, and beyond.
Coach Blocho is a lifelong multi-sport athlete whose competitive drive was forged in high school, where he set records in both football and lacrosse and earned All-American honors.At Canisius College, he became a two-time All-MAAC player, capped off with a MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Introduced to box lacrosse by his Canadian Hall of Fame coach, Blocho has spent the last 15 years growing the game in California—coaching with Alcatraz Outlaws, Calilax, and USBOXLA’s developmental program.As Director of Operations, Coach Blocho combines his Division I playing background, coaching experience, and passion for athlete development to help drive our national team forward. Families can expect a coach who values fundamentals, energy, and long-term player success.
